Lesley is a member of AASPI (Australian Association of Street Photographers Inc) and leads many Street Photography workshops and tours, both within New Zealand, Australia and  further afield.  Lesley’s Street Photography specialities are Story Telling, Reflection and ICM capturing images in both black & white and colour.

Leanne is an independent licensed New York City tour guide, photographer, artist and writer and loves New York City and photographing it!

Leanne specialises in unique, off the beaten track photography tours, and street photography workshops throughout New York City and has been providing these for over 13+ years

As for the final workshop location, each option offers its own distinct charm.  Jackson Heights in Queens is known for its diverse community and vibrant street life. Williamsburg and Bushwick in Brooklyn are renowned for their street art, trendy cafés, and hipster culture. Whichever location is decided upon, it’s bound to add another layer of richness to your New York City photography experience.

• 7 nights share twin accommodation at Ameritania Hotel – own room available at additional cost. The Ameritania Hotel is located in the heart of NYC, at the corner of West 54th Street and Broadway, in the Times Square and Broadway Theater District neighborhoods of midtown Manhattan.
• Free WiFi at hotel
• 7 breakfasts – buffet and continental
• 6 lunches with coffee/tea/juice
• 6 days of awesomely amazing street photography with Leanne Staples and supported by a Women in Photography representative
• Entry to “We Are Here – Scenes from the Street” street photography exhibition at the International Centre of Photography
• 7-day MetroCard for Subway and bus travel – your transport to and from each day’s street photography location.  The MetroCard can be used for any travel after or before each workshop if you want to head out on your own or or do a bit of sightseeing.

What’s Included – Non Photographers

This option, you join the group each day but you won’t be bringing a camera or using your smart phone.  No tuition or mentoring is provided.

• Dinner and morning/afternoon teas

• Hotel room costs for personal expenses including room service, laundry and minibar

• Visa to enter USA if joining from overseas
• You will be responsible for tipping for your own purchases, dinner, morning and afternoon teas.

• NZ$6,800 – own room [approx US$4,800]
• NZ$4,500 – no accommodation [approx US$2,900

COST – OPTION NON PHOTOGRAPHERS TRAVELLING WITH PARTNER

• If you are travelling on the same flight with Lesley, airport transfers are included – flights closer to the time will be available
• Additional nights share twin accommodation with breakfast included is available on request

BOOKING, CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS APPLICABLE FOR THIS PHOTOGRAPHY TOUR

• NZ$500 deposit secures your place
• Full payment is due 6 weeks before the commencement date
• If you choose to cancel your booking the amount you have paid is non-refundable unless we fill your place
• If we have to cancel, you can choose a full refund or what you have paid transferred to any of our other events
