Women in Photography, a global provider of photography tours and retreats created by multi-award winning New Zealand photographer Lesley Whyte.
Our retreats and tours are led by dedicated team of Women in Photography mentors who have been chosen as they share Women in Photography’s philosophy of mentoring and growing “your photography passion.” All our mentors are passionate about sharing their knowledge and helping you grow.
All our retreats and tours are fully inclusive of all your meals, transport from / back to point of departure. The retreats and tours are also incredibly fun and social plus extremely interactive with our Lightroom & Photoshop sessions – of course you don’t need to have Lightroom & Photoshop loaded on your laptop as we will work with you on how to process your photos on our laptops. Throughout the day, there is lots of 1:1 time so you can nail those essential camera skills – we will help you get off auto. You’ll receive a complimentary beautiful rugged Women in Photography A5 photo diary with cheat sheets on lots of photographic genres and room to make notes so you don’t forget what you’ve learnt.
On our retreats we are up early and head to bed late – we are out exploring the landscape so you come away with some awesome images! We also spend time on creative editing and post-processing techniques with our photo sharing sessions. Chatting over a glass of wine your dinner we’ll likely be exchanging composition ideas.
Our tours are adventurous and include adventurous activities; train excursion with open air viewing platform for photography, ATV ride, horse trekking, jet boat ride and walks to get to those places which are rugged and remote, places where the photography is awesomely spectacular!
Photographers of all levels of experience are welcome to join us, from beginners to hobbyists to serious. Once you step onboard with us there is, typically, nothing else to pay.
